Working in the third sector in Forth Valley it is hard not to know about RLP! Not just from the work they deliver, but the passion and warmth that the team portray. I reached out to Shumela in 2022 to ask about resources for people with lived experience who were facing triggers at work and from then on, I became really interested in the wider delivery work happening. I also sat in strategic spaces with a few of the team and felt connected to the work and organisation. 

When the opportunity arose to join RLP, I felt that not only was a good move in terms of career progression, but also in personal development and growth. I love spreadsheets and work systems, and always looking for ways to make everyone’s day a little easier with a good process or procedure. I have enjoyed a varied career path including four years as a project officer at an environmental charity. Joining the team has felt like being welcomed into a family with all the quirks and nuances that come with that.
